本片導演瓦金休斯兩周前將4分16秒影片精華，上傳到影音網站（http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdvFh95Yg6M）與友人分享，但他沒料到截至昨天，竟有數百萬名全球網友點閱，並於英美引發熱烈討論。影片一開始，17歲女主角凱西開車載著朋友，三人有說有笑，當凱西單手傳送簡訊時，沒人注意車子偏離車道，頃刻間撞上對向來車。
車子煞住後，又被追撞，在33秒慢動作鏡頭中，凱西與兩名朋友生死分離。接著，她崩潰尖叫，讓人背脊發涼。
此片全長30分鐘，由威爾斯格溫特警局撥款製作，今秋於威爾斯校園播放。導演瓦金休斯說，開拍前做過調查，「年輕人說東西一定要夠嚇人、夠暴力、夠寫實」，才能讓他們印象深刻。

已有數百萬人次在影音分享網站YouTube，觀看這部播出3車對撞恐怖畫面的4分16秒影片。
該影片中，17歲的凱西‧柯旺（Cassie Cowan）在威爾斯東南部的泰德格（Tredegar）邊駕車邊傳簡訊時發生車禍，導致她兩名友人和來車的兩人喪生。
這個血腥車禍影帶包括受害者在凱西車內受到來車撞擊片段，也有慘劇後路人奮力搭救、凱西一邊尖叫的畫面。
這部由格溫特警局（Gwent Police）以1萬英鎊（1萬6000美元）製作的影片，原本只打算在當地播放。
如今這個短片已引起全球關注，美國報章雜誌和電視台爭相報導。

Tredegar Comprehensive School pupils shown dramatic film on dangers of texting and driving
A HARD-hitting drama showing the dangers of texting while driving has premiered at Tredegar Comprehensive School.
The 30-minute production, called “Cow”, features a few familiar faces including Gavin and Stacey’s Margaret John playing a mother whose son is killed in a fatal accident.
Executive producer Peter Watkins-Hughes said: “At the centre of the film is a shockingly realistic depiction of a multiple car pile-up.
“To achieve this, three cars were crashed for real on a specially prepared site in Ebbw Vale.”
Computer generated imagery was later used to complete the scenes.
And the crash aftermath was shot on the A4048 in Tredegar.
More than 50 people from the emergency services were involved, and two helicopters – including the Wales Air Ambulance – landed on the road to airlift the “survivors” to hospital.
“Cow” is the story of Cassie Cowan, who takes her eyes of the road for a split second, leading to a fatal collision, which has profound affects on her, her family and the families of her victims. The film was a co-production between Tredegar Comprehensive School and Gwent Police, and it is hoped it will become part of the core schools programme across Wales and ultimately the UK.
Plenty of local youngsters made up the cast, including 16-year-old Laura Quantick from Ebbw Vale who plays Jules – a young girl also killed in the smash.
The film is a sequel to a previous documentary called lucky Luke, made 14 years ago, which showed the consequences of joyriding.
The completed project was shown in the school on June 23 to a crowd of cast-members, their families and guests, the production crew, local dignitaries and officers.
Peter continued: “So many people from Tredegar were part of filming, and we want to thank everyone for their support.”
